Is my house a total loss?

A total loss is when the homeowner's insurance will pay out the whole amount of the policy.

A home that has as much damage to it as this one did is considered a total loss. Too much of the structure has been compromised for a contractor to rebuild the home. It would cost less to start from scratch than to make this home safe for habitation.
